Today's Prayer
God so much of our world is noise. Noise that takes us away from you. So much of our perceived self-worth is derived by the positions we hold by the degrees we receive by the number of hours we work or the gold we amass the mountains we climb. We have been conditioned to demand things – Now That kindness is a sign of weakness. That power is strength. That monuments last forever. Lord help us to listen for your voice Please be our filter, Let us understand that not always your message comes As thunder or lightning It often comes as a whisper Or the kiss of the wind.
