December 4, 2020 A daily prayer during this COVID-19 crisis
During these difficult days, members of the Green Mountain District of the New England Conference are sharing a daily prayer based on the Revised Common Lectionary for the week. You are welcome to use these in worship or in your own devotions.
Today’s prayer Let me hear what God the Sovereign will speak, for God will speak peace to God’s people, to God’s saints, to those who turn to God in their hearts. Psalm 85:8 God, You say I am loved. You say I am strong and courageous. You tell me to not be afraid, to not be discouraged. When all I feel is discouragement. When all I feel is pity for everyone. When I am unsure if I am making the right decisions. When I feel as though I am failing you. You remind me that I was created by you. That I am worthy of your love. That we ALL are worthy of your love. You lift our heads when we lower them. You remind us of the good that you have created in this world. Through these hard times that we have been facing we need to remember to keep our faith in you, God, alive. For “blessed is the one who trusts in the lord.”- Jeremiah 17:7 Thanks be to God, Amen.

We all need to remember we are worthy of God's love. Sometimes we do feel discouragement but our faith will see us through.
