Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
This is such an important piece. It has made a huge difference to me, especially in the last several years. When I meet with other believers, and allow them to get to know me, I become open to their wisdom, and their Godliness. Spiritual growth for me is something that needs constant attention and "exercise." I can't do it on my own. God is always there to provide the increase, but meeting with other believers keeps me accountable and curious.
Holy Lord, I am so thankful. You have provided me with so many blessings. Help me to continue to grow and to serve. In Jesus' name, Amen

Hebrews 10:24-25
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near
We don’t realize what a huge difference some small bit of encouragement can make in someone’s life. I know it has made a huge difference in my life. How an encouraging word helped me, how a small act of kindness reminded me how much God truly loves me. I try to smile and give a hug, Tell…
Hebrews 10:24-25
At the risk of being repetitive, this passage in Hebrews brings to my mind the double-edged sword of modern technology. Many churches have yet to rebound from the forced abandonment of meeting together with other believers. The Zoom phenomenon, for all its benefits to what we used to call “shut-ins,” or others unable to attend worship, subtly cultivated the habit of not meeting together. How can we convey the benefits of corporate worship described by Becky and Roz to those we no longer see in church or, more importantly, those who have never shared worship with others?

Hebrews 10:24-25
Although the writer(s) of Hebrews 10-25 probably wasn’t speaking of weekly Sunday services, that’s how I read it. This is our chance to be with other believers, to learn, to teach, and encourage those with us. I’m so glad my parents always went to church. This is how I learned its importance. Every week we are taught, reminded, and challenged to live as Jesus taught us. This has always been the perfect way to start my week.
Prayer: Gracious God, many thanks for all the teachers who have helped shape my life. Amen
