Romans 12:9
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Again, love must be sincere. Love does come from the heart, which we know is where the Holy Spirit abides. I might even argue that if it is not sincere, it is not really love. Sincerity does not travel with manipulation or deceit.
Holy Lord, help me to be a sincere follower of your will. Show me where to travel to do good, and to avoid what is not good. Amen

Love with all our hearts and souls. All love must be sincere, if it is not sincere, it is not true love.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
You know that old cliche, if I only knew then, what I know now.
It is essential that we love ourselves if we are to love others. Before we can contribute to the growth of others, we must be committed to our own spiritual growth – practice the decision to love ourselves. In order to do this, deal with our guilt and shame. Stop beating ourselves up, and criticising and judging ourselves. Would I speak to a close friend the way I speak to myself, of course not. Romans 12:9
An insincere profession of love is inevitably destined to a bitter outcome. If I profess a love of God then live life in such a way that I cannot be distinguished from a person driven solely by earthly pleasures who denies God, what is the point of a profession of faith. I may have failures along the way, but if my love of God is sincere, I won’t stop trying, especially when the world round me insists it is not worth the effort.
Prayer - Loving God, Your example of unconditional, unfailing love is a challenge to reproduce in a world of confusion and insincerity. Help me to navigate my world in such a way that my love…
