A Daily Devotion for Tuesday, December 17

John 14:6-7

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

This may be one of the most powerful passages in the Bible for me. Jesus is so clear with this message, even though what he is saying is still beyond my full comprehension. Jesus is Lord. When I have known Jesus, I have known God. I must know Jesus to come to the Father. And we know from other scripture that this was not just an on-the-spot decision by God, to send someone down to straighten us out. God had told of the coming of the Messiah through the prophets. We can never understand it all, but we can be certain of Jesus and his teaching, his death and his resurrection, all for us. God loves us, every one of us.

Holy Father, I am so thankful, I am blessed by all of your gifts of grace. The birth of the Messiah is the greatest gift of all. May I never forget, and always hold these truths close. Amen

John 14:6-7

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

Jesus says he is the way, the truth and the life. This means he will show us how to live. All the answers we need are in the Bible. So it is very important that we study it and obey it each and every day. When we follow his way our life will lead to peace, joy and blessing .

Thanks to pastor Gil, I have learned to…
