I Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
This passage is about endurance through temptation. God know me inside and out. He knows when I am considering shortcuts or unhealthy ways out of predicaments. But more importantly, He knows what I need in order to endure whatever it is that is pushing my buttons. For me, the difficult part of this is the waiting: calling out to God for help and listening for the response. Just like with any prayer we lift, the answer may not come right away. What do I do in the meantime? Endure, knowing God is there, walking beside me.
Holy Lord, help me to find the right path. You have provided a way for me to endure all things, and I need only turn to you. Amen

1 Corinthians 10:13
I see this as it is often said, God won’t give you more than you can take on. We are tempted throughout our lives, some more than others with temptations greater than I have or will face, alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc. I pray for those who struggle with these temptations and pray they let Christ into their hearts and are able to overcome the temptations.
Dear God, I know you are there to guide me through my troubles and temptations. Please help those who have greater challenges and help them to see you and the salvation you offer. Amen.
1 Corinthians 10:13
When a temptation is so great that you are "addicted" to it, there is always help available, but your eyes, heart, and mind must be open to see it. Our culture, thankfully offers lots of help in many forms. AA is only one of many forms of help available
Prayer: Gracious God, help those who need it to see all there is that offers what they need. Help them also to realize that this is God's gift to them. AMEN

I Corinthians 10:13
Solomon wrote there is nothing new under the sun. The same is true of temptation. It is no excuse to claim one’s temptation is so unique to them it cannot be resisted. Paul reminds us God has been there from the beginning and every temptation of every type has dogged humankind since then. This “way out” that he references is not a golden ticket to exchange bad for good whenever we feel like it. My interpretation (not by any means the final word), is that this way out is a free will that has been sculpted to seek personal holiness rather than personal pleasure through the diligent practice of spiritual disciplines that are best suited to the…
