Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God above,
As we move through Holy Week, I pray we can resonate with these words from Paul. We are the recipients of all the good that resulted from this awful event. I will continue to try to live this out, to turn to you always, and to choose love every time. Amen

Romans 8:38–39
I love these verses. I know they are true. The security of knowing that God loves you no matter what is very powerful. But sometimes, we separate ourselves from him. We are mad, sad, hurting and feeling beyond repair. We may rage against him for where we are. But this verse reminds us that even then, we are loved by God. He never takes his love away from us. We need to try to remember to take our feelings to him and try to feel some relief by turning things over to God.
Prayer: gracious God, your gift of love is there always. May I always turn into you. Amen

This is one of the most comforting promises in all of scripture. The world we live in bombards us with realities that are concerning . I have to remember that G…
Romans 8:38-39 There is no stronger statement of our security in Christ than these words to the Roman church. Paul had lived it. After his conversion his missionary travels were a catalogue of trials and tribulations, but he never wavered, secure in the concepts he outlines in these verses. Sharing communion weekly for the last six weeks has emphasized that whatever happens in the world around us, followers of Christ will never be separated from the love of God that is in Christ.
Prayer - Eternal God, Your promises are made new each morning - great is Your faithfulness. It is in Your watchful and loving care that I feel secure. Knowing that despite my weaknesses and failures, I will never…
