Job 28:23-28
verse 28: “And he said to man, ‘The fear of the Lord-that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.’”
Wisdom to me is not simply knowing things, but understanding them, learning from what we see and experience and becoming a better person. Ultimately this must not just include God but be all about God. My relationship with God should guide all of my decisions and all of my actions. Unfortunately, I fall short all too often, and act without thinking. I believe wisdom is having God so in my fiber I first check my behavior with God.
Holy Father, lead me to you around every turn. Help me to check my words and my behavior to be sure they are pleasing to you. Grant me wisdom, God. I long to please you. Amen

One form of wisdom is in surrendering to this truth and resisting the temptation to be to be master of my world. This is not fatalism, but the simple acknowledgment of the truth that God is God and I am not.
Prayer - Omnipotent God, I place my trust in You for my life and for the lives of those I love. We are your creation and yield to Your sovereignty over all creation. Our trust rests in faith in Your perfect love,…
