1Corinthians 3:10-15
verse 11: For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
These verses bring to mind the Pastor’s words yesterday about “deep” Christian faith. Jesus is the bedrock- the deepest, most solid place where my faith begins. Nothing that I add on to this will change the foundation. In fact, all the things we add ourselves or change to our own liking will be shown for what they are. Remaining aware of that foundation 24/7- that must be my goal. I can’t justify anything that does not belong on that foundation.
Father God, you have laid the foundation for my life. You have given me the deepest truths. I will do my best. Amen

We are called to build upon that foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw” knowing that our work will be shown for what it is, because the Day of Judgment will bring it to light… and will test the quality of each man’s work.” …
