John 8:32
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Jesus promises us that we have all we need, if we have Him, and follow Him. We will know that truth, which makes other useless and destructive feelings unnecessary and powerless over us. This verse seems a long way off from the kinds of things I may envy. But if I am satisfied in my relationship with God, I am better able to put other “wants” in perspective. This is a goal to strive for-
Holy Lord, when I long for what others have, may I remember all that I have in you. Set me free, Lord. Amen

John 8:32
What else do we really need to know…the truth that God’s grace is ours by accepting Jesus as our Savior. It seems so simple but it’s so difficult for so many. It’s all we need. As I get older, I clearly see that the gap between my needs and my wants becomes more and more narrow. I, myself, have been blessed beyond measure and there really isn’t anything I should ever be jealous of. The only real need we have is The Truth.
Father, please help me to focus on The Truth as my only true need and help me to cast aside my desires for frivolous earthly things. Thank you for the blessing of your grace. Amen.

John 8:32
Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free
When I obey the Word of God and of Christ, I grow in knowledge and my spiritual understanding matures. This growth alleviates me from the sinful actions that keeps me attached to my sinful ways. Knowing the truth from scripture takes time, it does not come easy. The best action for inexperience is experience. Being excited each day about the progress we are making, learning to agree with his word encourages us to continue on this same path. Learning to agree with all that God saids empowers us to disagree with the lies of this world. God’s word is truth and…
John 8:32
For this scripture it says in all one sentence like a picture says a 1,00 words so too does this.. it not simply but it can be right to the point know THE truth and it will set you free, know it feel it believe it it live it and it truly will set you free , for me free from worry wondering, and wandering!
Dear God, thank you for this one sentence scripture help me to continue to learn, listen and understand the truth so that I too can continue to be set free to do your work. Amen
John 8:32
This verse, within its context, reminds us that all who sin - that is every one of us - remain slaves to sin until we embrace the truth and salvation found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. This, of course, includes being a slave to jealousy. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we can abandon the mental chains of jealousy and learn to rejoice with others when they are blessed. This is a much more uplifting and life-affirming way to conduct ourselves and honors God as well.
Prayer - Instill in me, O God, Your truth. Set me free from the power of sin, including the sin of jealousy. Grant me a heart that finds joy in seeing others…
