A Daily Devotion for Friday, August 28

2 Corinthians 3:2-3

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

When I am transformed, people should be able to see I am a servant of God. I will not be perfect, but I will live in a way that reflects God’s love and God’s presence within me. I wish that were the case with me, but I still fail so often. Life with God is a journey, I am in transit.

Father God, lead me and give me strength. Please help me to be a good example, a mirror of your loving ways. Amen

Some of the most disappointing words a professed Christian could hear from a long time friend are, “Oh, I didn’t know you were a Christian.” if the time comes when it is illegal to be a Christian, will there be enough evidence for a jury…

My favorite piece of mail is a personal letter from a friend or relative. I appreciate love letters the most because they are filled with affection, friendship and joy. Paul reminds us that, "You are a letter from Christ, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone" (2 Corinthians 3:2-3). If  I were a letter from Christ, what kind of letter would I be. Am I just a useless piece of 'junk' mail? or am I a love letter, expressing Christ's grace and joy? I pray as I grow stronger in my…
