Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Are our children welcome during the service?
Answer: We welcome our smallest brothers and sisters happily! We know that little friends often have a hard time sitting and that is ok. We are thankful for the small voices and have created an area in the back of the sanctuary where they can color, play with some toys and do puzzles while their grownups worship.

Question: Where will we park?
Answer: There is a parking lot next to the church as well as some on street parking. We have a ramp for those who have difficulty navigating the stairs. If you need to use the ramp, you are welcome to park in or near the handicap parking on the left side of the building.

Question: What is the dress code?
Answer: Come as you are. If you are comfortable dressing up, that is lovely. If not, that is fine too! Maybe just not one of those inflatable t-rex costumes (the pastor might be jealous ;) )

Question: Can I take communion even if I am not a United Methodist?
Answer: In United Methodist tradition, you need not be a member of our church or denomination or any other for that matter. You only need to desire to have a relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The table is open to all.

Question: I am organizing a baptism/wedding/funeral/etc. I would like to hold it at the church. Whom should I contact?
Answer: Inquiries about baptisms, weddings or funerals can be made by calling the office and leaving a message. Pastor Jen will call you back as soon as possible. As she is only in the office on Thursday mornings, if the request is time sensitive, please email her at pastorjensavoy@gmail.com

Question: What type of music is played during worship?
Answer: We sing mostly traditional hymns, but gladly welcome “guest musicians” who want to bless us with other types of worshipful music!

Question: How do I become a member of the church?
Answer: Those wishing to become a member can make an appointment to talk to Pastor Jen, please call the church office to set up a time to meet with her.
