The Living Room

What is The Living Room?

It’s about lif

It’s about your life.  It’s about hope, trust, companionship, and fellowship.  The Living Room is a place for you to come to talk, to listen, to pray, to hope, to cherish, to give, and to gain.  This is a safe place to look, learn, and listen.  Whatever life throws at you, The Living Room offers a place to come and get support, or give support.  A community of camaraderie where help isn’t out of the question.  Where answers will be found for whatever situation you are in.  Where hope can be hoped for.  Where questions can find answers.  And where friends can find friendships.  It a safe place to let life flow.

Donations Requested: We are looking for the donation of a Keurig so we can have hot drinks when needed.  We may need other items as well so let CJ or Amelia know before you get rid of living room type items (i.e. chairs, lamps, area rugs, end table, air conditioners to name a few).

The Living Room is located at 24 Maple St, Contoocook NH
(It’s the small building next to the Contoocook United Methodist church.)

Potato Project 2017

The Potato Project will once again be distributing thousands of pounds of potatoes this Fall area food banks and those in need.  Our distribution date is Saturday, November 11, 2017.  This year, we will be working with the Society of St. Andrew after using another distributor for the last 2 years.  This reduces our costs and also provides work for folks here in the United States.  Our cost this year will be approximately $3000.00.  If you are interested in making a donation, please make your check out to Contoocook United Methodist Church, with Potato Project on the memo line.  Thank you for your consideration.

Rummage Sale Fall 2017

The Service Club will be holding a Fall Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 14th.

We can always use help cleaning up and distributing things we have left.  We take things to: Open Hands, The Friendly Kitchen, Friends of Forgotten Children, Homeless Vets, Goodwill and the Salvation Army.

Starry Starry Weekend

Creative Angels

We will once again be participating in the community Starry Starry Weekend, which takes place on the first weekend of December.  The Creative Angels Bazaar will be on Saturday, December 2nd.  We will be asking for donations of cookies, baked goods, craft items and jewelry.
