Greetings to my Church family and Friends at Contoocook United Methodist Church!

I am pleased to have the opportunity to introduce myself. I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you!

I have been a Licensed Local Pastor for the New England Conference since 2011 serving North Charlestown and Claremont N.H. half time and then later a quarter time with just Claremont. Previous to that, I was a lay speaker and part of a ministry team for two years in Grantham, sharing the pulpit with four laity and an overseeing Pastor.

I have been an active Methodist since 2001. Before that I was a certified Director of Religious Education with the UU Church in Norwich Vt. and Newburyport MA. I am currently beginning my second year in the five year course of study through Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.

I moved to Grantham in 1989 with my two daughters and lived with my parents while I attended Colby Sawyer College. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and a Master’s Degree from Lesley University in Curriculum. For 17 years I ran a small child care center in Grantham, “Turtle Mountain School”, licensed for 50 children, infants through school age.

My husband Gary and I have nine grown children and five grandchildren. We adopted six children and have three biological kids. My husband works as an environmental analyst in Wetlands protection for the DEP in Massachusetts. He loves hiking, geology, bike riding and looks forward to working on projects where he can be helpful at the church. We both like to cook. I love to garden and read and I play guitar. I currently am working part time as a garden associate at Home Depot.

As a pastor, I enjoy preaching the Word and designing worship, leading small groups and reaching out, building community-wide relationships. I love to listen to people and the stories about their lives. I hope to strengthen the ministries of this church with my prayers, gifts, presence, service and witness.

Let us join together to make disciples and be disciples and change the world! God’s Shalom.
